We wanted to be in Texas, and Austin aligns with our environmentally-friendly and fun approach to food and service. Lamar Central is a natural fit for Snooze and for our company s philosophy, said Snooze CEO David Birzon. The space will allow for outdoor seating, including a patio in the front, as well as at the rear of the restaurant, adjoining the 13,000 square-foot courtyard area. The eatery will feature its signature, brightly-colored decor and offer seated and counter-service dining. It’s renowned for its breakfast service and creative menu served in a casual, retro-diner atmosphere that we think Austinites will really enjoy. Snooze is an exciting addition to our development and should complement the other dining options we will offer at Lamar Central, said Highland Resource VP David Bodenman. Of the 34,000 square-feet of available retail space within the development, 3,900 square-feet will be leased by the morning eatery, which will be located adjacent to the breezeway area on the ground floor on 38 th Street. The lease represents Snooze s first expansion into Texas and Lamar Central s first signed restaurant.
